Scotland Yoga Retreat 2017
Ground through your roots and by experiencing the natural beauty of the breathtaking Scottish countryside. Connect to your breath, your practice, your community, to history. Heal with yoga and by immersing yourself in the natural waters at ecoYoga Centre.

Join Colleen on this epic yoga retreat to explore the beautiful country of Scotland!
We'll take in scenic views and wander through historic sites- monuments, homes, and graves from Mary Queen of Scots, William Wallace, and Rob Roy, among others. See some familiar landscapes from Outlander, Harry Potter, and Monty Python. There will be time for yoga (twice daily when possible), relaxation, and sight seeing.

Where: Scotland!! Arrive Thursday September 7th in Edinburgh, depart Tuesday September 19th from Glasgow

What: Yoga! In Scotland! Yoga classes will be Hatha Flow, Yin, or Myofascial Release (classes may be switched or combined, depending on group needs)
Take some time for yourself to get away to this magical place. Immerse yourself in history and the most amazing scenery!

Included- all yoga classes, all hotel stays (Edinburgh, Stirling, Portree, and Glasgow), 5 nights and all meals at ecoYoga Centre, 3 day guided tour through the Isle of Skye, all historic site entrance fees, in country transportation, bus transfers to/from airports, 11 breakfasts, afternoon tea in Glasgow, 4 lunches, 7 dinners

Not included- International flights, souvenirs, 1 breakfast, 7 lunches, 5 dinners, alcoholic beverages, any optional sites/ events you choose outside of the group, hotel spa treatments

Meals- Most meals will be vegan (including all meals at ecoYoga and group meals). Many restaurants, especially in the Highlands, will have non-vegan options. If you have food allergies or restrictions, please let me know.

What to bring: Your openness to explore, learn, and let go of anything holding you back.
Yoga mat, passport, layers, sturdy walking shoes, rain gear, camera, spending money for souvenirs, bathing suit, etc.

Daily itinerary
Participation is optional but encouraged for the group bonding experience.

Thursday September 7th- arrive in Edinburgh- Apex Waterloo Place- check in is 2 pm, group dinner at David Bann. Underground walking tour- Real Mary King's Close. Optional walking tours or sunset views of the city, ghost tours, hotel spa treatment, or sampling whiskey in a pub

Friday September 8th- day in Edinburgh- Sightseeing- exploring various sites, including Edinburgh Castle, Palace of Holyroodhouse, St. Giles Cathedral, and the Royal Mile
​
Saturday September 9th- depart Edinburgh after breakfast, take a guided tour bus to the Isle of Skye, stopping along the way at the William Wallace Monument, Doune Castle, GlenCoe, Spean Bridge and the Five Sisters of Kintail; evening yoga in Portree at the Cuillen Hills Hotel
​
Sunday September 10th- a day exploring the magical Isle of Skye, including the Fairy Pools, Dunvegan Castle, Fairie Glen, Kilt Rock & falls, Old Man of Storr; evening yoga at the hotel and free time to explore Portree
​
Monday September 11th- depart the Isle of Skye after breakfast, travel to Stirling, with stops along the way at Eilean Donan Castle, Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness visitor center, and the Clava Cairns; evening yoga and dinner in Stirling with time to explore, overnight at the Stirling Highland Hotel

Tuesday September 12th- Breakfast in Stirling, time at Stirling Castle- hotel check out by 11 am, then depart for eco Yoga Centre, stopping at historic Castle Sween and the Kilmory Knap Chapel; evening yoga and dinner at eco Yoga
​
Wednesday September 13th- Saturday September 16th- eco Yoga Centre
Twice daily yoga, organic vegan meals, time to unwind in nature, walk to nearby Loch Awe or the River Liever; day trip to Kilmartin Glen and Carnasserie Castle; enjoy any or all of their natural baths, sauna, or hot tub; help out in the garden, visit the Inverliever Hydro power station to see where the power for the retreat centre comes from... and so much more!

Sunday September 17th- after morning yoga and breakfast, we will depart from the eco Yoga Centre for Glasgow, stopping at Loch Lomond for a scenic guided boat tour. Light lunch at the Piper's Tryst Hotel and afternoon tea at the Willow Tea Room. Time to explore the city including the Glasgow Cathedral and George Square, evening yoga and dinner

Monday September 18th- morning yoga and breakfast. Day to explore Glasgow, including the University of Glasgow, Kelvingrove, and some amazing art/ architecture by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Evening yoga.
​
Tuesday September 19th- morning yoga and breakfast, check out of hotel by 11 am, depart for Glasgow Airport
​
Investment: Starting at $2,440 before 05/07/17, $2,640 regular
Deposit of $500 to save your spot. Balance due 08/05/17 (Payment plans are available)
The retreat is limited to 12 people. Final registration taken 08/05/17.

Refunds/ Cancellations
Refunds offered minus a $500 administration fee. After 08/05/17 refunds will only be granted if your space can be filled with a new participant.
