The Five Elements: Earth

Stomach & Spleen- Late Summer Workshop

Yin & Acupuncture

According to the Taoists, the interplay between the Chinese 5 elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, & water) represent each person’s emotional, energetic, & physical health & well being. We generally seek to bring all 5 elements into balance, though one or more elements may dominate our temperament. The 5 Elements are present in everything in nature, and are also affected by nature, particularly the cycle of seasons. Working with nature’s ebb & flow, we’ll explore balancing our elements. Each workshop will include discussion time & a carefully crafted yin sequence for each element & meridians. We will conclude with an extended shavasana, with time for acupuncture.

Late Summer- Earth represents a sense of being centered, change, & stability. It is associated with the energy of the spleen & the stomach. It controls our ability to digest & distribute energy throughout the entire body.

I'll bring essential oils for the Earth element, flower essences to help balance the Stomach & Spleen meridians, and post-class fresh juice. Kylie, a doTerra representative will join us after class to share the benefits and uses of essential oils!
